Popular group Arashi attended the press conference for 24 Hour TV “Love Saves the Earth” held at NTV Shiodome in Tokyo last June 26th. The 5-member group was wearing t-shirts design by Satoshi Ohno and Yoshitomo Nara. Also present in the press con is actress Yui Aragaki who will act as the 24 Hr TV Charity Personality.
Each member is all fired-up being the host for the third time after four years. When they were asked how they can get through for 24 hours, “we’re still young!” Ohno replied archly. “I don’t feel it’s that long,” Aiba commented.
The theme for this year’s 24 Hour TV is future-oriented, each member share their hopes for the future. Aiba shared, “I think that future changes depending on how you act now, it’s like ‘you reap what you sow’,” “I think that future is the kind of thing that you can choose, it could change depending on how you will react,” Matsumoto commented. Furthermore, Ninomiya said that he sees future positively; he wants to live boisterously as well.
24 Hour TV is a 24-hours telethon fundraising event. It takes place every one weekend of August every year. The funds they have collected will be used for welfare, environment, and disaster relief not just in Japan but in other countries as well.
