After School group member and leader Kahi has announced today that she will be graduating from the group at the end of September.
Pledis Entertainment made the announcement through two press releases. After the first press release, reporters flooded the company with questions. Confusion followed as the agency misspoke and said that Kahi will promote solo as a part of the group, but a second statement confirmed that she is in fact leaving the group to pursue a solo career.
The singer will graduate from the group at the end of September. She will stay with After School until their Japanese tour has been completed.
"To all the After School fans who have given me so much love and to my members who have cried, laughed, and suffered with me since we debuted, I thank you all so much. I’ll try my best so that you can see a new side of Kahi," she stated.
Kahi will remain in the entertainment industry after her graduation. She plans on preparing a new solo album as well as taking acting classes. During her final tour with After School, she plans on holding special solo performances to thank her fans for their support while she was part of the group.
