NEWS Reveals PV Preview of "Chankapaana"

It has been earlier reported that Johnny's group NEWS will releases their first single for 2012 titled "Chankapaana". The said single will be available in four versions, which include a solo versions for each member.
In the group's interview for MYOJO magazine August issue, the four-member group promote their single. Kato Shigeaki conveyed that they chose "Chankapaana" out of the three songs that were presented to them because it's unique that even those who are not familiar with NEWS would go, "What is Chankapaana?". Koyama Keiichiro wanted a cheerful and fun song for their comeback; thus, the song has the perfect rhythm. Takahisa Masuda revealed that some of the notes were a bit high for him but he did his best. Lastly, Tegoshi Yuya explained the meaning of "Chankapaana". The word is a combination of the suffix "chan", which is usually attach to girls' nicknames; then, "kapaana" which means "beloved". Therefore, "Chankapaana" means "My Beloved Girl".
"Chankapaana" will be released on July 18th.
