Dengeki magazine has given gamers a preview of the upcoming Pokémon Black 2 and White 2
such as new features and a better idea of how players will start their
journey. The new preview comes as the Japanese release of the game comes
this Saturday.
Dengeki has confirmed that the Pokédex will allow players to see what Pokémon are available on each route.
It was also confirmed that Aspertia City will be the starting town for players. Cheren, who returns from the first game, runs the gym which will also double as a trainer school. Once players leave Aspertia City, Route 19 awaits them leading to Sangi Town. Route 20 will separate Sangi Town from Sangi Farm, where the game's rival will appear for the first time.
On Route 20, Tachiwaki City comes into view and players will be able to fight the new gym leader Homika, who fights with the Poison-type. In the Tachiwaki Complex, Pokémon such as Pidove, Magby or Elekid (depending on the game's version), Growlithe, Audino, Magnemite and Koffing will be available. This city will also be the first time players will encounter Team Plasma, who has now separated into two factions: one wanting control of the world and the other who sides with N.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 will be available in Japan on June 23rd with a North American and Europe release date in the fall.
