Utada Hikaru Writes A New Song

Utada Hikaru
Utada Hikaru revealed that she is writing a new song. The song is inspired by coriander.
Coriander is a commonly used spice used in cooking. It is also commonly known as cilantro, Chinese parsley or dhania.
"Writing a coriander song makes me a weirdo, but this World Coriander Congress is just... GENIUS!! Gotta love us Japanese folk," she tweted, referencing this link which tracks tweets about coriander.
News about the singer writing new songs comes after speculation that she is working on new music and is collaborating with producer Skrillex.
This is not the first time Utada has found inspiration from seemingly odd places. In 2006, she released her song "Boku wa Kuma", a song about being a bear, and in 2009 released her song "Apple and Cinnamon", comparing the chemistry between new lovers with apples and cinnamon.
